Welcome to our Kindergarten


 
 
    Kindergartners are required to identify all the letters of the alphabet.  They will learn a list of thirty sight words.  Students also learn the letter sounds, which help them to write phonetically.  Reading and writing sentences that include sight words is an important goal in kindergarten. This will prepare them for first grade.

Through the use of the Everyday Math series, students will count to 110, and count by 2s, 5s, and 10s.  They will identify the numerals 0-30.  They are required to identify coins and learn to tell
time to the hour.

We cover topics in science, holidays, famous people, and safety issues.  We enjoy singing, art projects, gym and library.
