Art
The visual art program at Huntington provides a variety of creative activities for our students. Students from pre-school through fifth grade have a once-a-week opportunity to visit the art room. There we learn as we experiment with drawing, painting, digital imaging, printmaking, and clay. The students' projects cross all areas of the curriculum. Art is coupled with language arts, math, science, and social studies to reinforce learning.
Often the completed work is on display in our hallways. We extend the viewing of our students' work to the administrative offices. We end a very fun-filled productive year with our All City Art Show. Artwork in the show represents grades one through twelve and can be viewed by the public during scheduled hours. Check the local newspapers in May for more details about the time and place of the show.
