Welcome to T.W. Mahan Elementary School’s website. Thank you for taking the opportunity to learn more about us. We have almost 300 students enrolled in our preschool through fifth grade classes. Mahan School serves a diverse population. Our families come from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. On site we have various opportunities for our youngest learners, which include a Family Resource Center, a Head Start Center, and a Norwich Public Schools’ Pre-School. Mahan School in unique in that we also are the home of a Physically Challenged program and a Special Needs program.

 You are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s school and academic program. Showing interest in your child’s school and schoolwork, fosters the importance and helps support their learning. All parents are encouraged to establish a solid avenue of communication with their child’s teacher. Education is a joint venture between the school and the home. It makes a difference!
