| Throughout the year first grade students complete various Research Projects and present them to the class. The students select several questions about the topic they wish to learn about, and then they research the answers. The presentations include visuals that demonstrate the students' knowledge of the topic. | First graders engage in various activities throughout the day. Flexible reading groups better accommodate the reading levels of all the children. "Buddy Reading" is part of Reading Incentive Program which involves book sharing with a partner. | These first grade students are working in a math center during morning work time.
