Library Technical Assistant

All students visit the Library Media Center each week for book exchange, and are taught library manners and how to care for a library book.

Library Skills

Students in grades K-2 listen to a story and complete a related activity while learning good library manners. Students in grades 3-5 receive instruction in information literacy, the use of the various reference tools, and the use of technology.
The Moriarty Library Media Center computers are available for small group instruction and  individual guided research projects. Students can also use the computers to access the OPAC (the library's catalog) to look up books by subject, authors, title, or keyword.
