School Choice

No Child Left Behind (NCLB) - School Choice

The No Child Left Behind Act offers parents/guardians the option of sending their child to another school within the district should the child’s “home school” not meet the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for 2 consecutive years.  The parents/guardians may only choose a school which has met the AYP criteria. Under NCLB rules, your child will have the option to remain at this school through the end of fifth grade, however transportation to this school will only be provided for your child while the school achieves Adequate Yearly Progress.
