The visual art program at Veterans School provides a variety of creative activities for students from pre-K through fifth. Each class has a once a week opportunity to work in the art room. There we learn as we experiment with drawing, painting, digital imaging, cutting, and assembling. The students' projects cross all areas of the curriculum. Art is coupled with langauge arts, math, science and social studies to reinforce learning.
Often the completed work is on display in our hallways. We extend the viewing of the work to the administrative offices. We end a very fun-filled productive year with the All City Art Show. Artwork in the show represents grade one through twelve and can be viewed by the the public during scheduled hours. This year's opening is Wednesday May 19th from 6-8 at Huntington School. Please join us for this wonderful cultural event.
