The Integrated Day program helps foster independence in student learning and problem solving in a more student centered classroom where students take ownership over completing class work, behavior management, and building a class community.  Students hold daily class meetings to discuss class issues, current events, and personal sharing. There is a mentoring system where every student is paired with another student to help them feel comfortable at the start of every school year.

Research is a major part of the program. Students complete and present three major projects a year on the topics of their choice.

The Integrated Day classes are involved in a grant program called Pixels and Palettes  which incorporates art with writing.  The program includes several related field trips during the year.
