Music

 

The music program explores many areas including instruments used in jazz and concert bands as well as orchestras.  Students engage in discussion and listening exercises of music from 1650 to the present day.  Music theory is introduced, requiring students to compose and perform their own music.  Students are also introduced to basic keyboarding skills in 7th and 8th grade.
