This year at Veterans School students received 40 minutes of art instruction each week. Students use visual, perceptual, emotional, and manipulative skills to solve problems in the art classroom and they learn that each problem has many solutions.  Art lessons are often integrated with academic subjects and students also learn about various cultures and art history.  The art program provides students with an additional language for learning and communicating. We end a very fun-filled, productive year with our All-City Art Show. Artwork in the show represents grades one through twelve and can be viewed by the public during scheduled hours. Check the local newspapers in May for more details about time and place of the show.
