Library Media Center Goals The goal of the Library Media Center is to support literacy and technology skills throughout the different grade levels and across all curricular subject areas. The classroom teachers and the library media specialist work closely to advance literacy and research proficiency. All students have a scheduled library class time to focus on these goals, as well as to check out books of their choosing. Students in K-2 are introduced to a variety of literature, and basic computer and library skills. Emphasis for students in grades 3-5 turns to research that utilizes a mix of print and electronic resources. Students will learn to present their research projects using various computer programs and web tools. Parents and guardians of students are welcome to visit the Library Media Center to browse the collection and check out books.
