HOME OF THE PANTHERS!!!

Welcome to Teachers’ Memorial Middle School.  Our school is located in Norwich, Connecticut and has a student body comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  They are divided into teams of approximately 90 students each.  Each student receives a core curriculum of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  Special subjects are also offered to our students as well as an enrichment program.

Teachers Memorial continues an initiative called Positive Behaviorial Support.  This PBS initiative is an approach to creating and maintaining a positive school environment.  School environments that are positive, preventive, predictable and effective are safer, healthier, and more caring.  It is our hope that students and parents alike will embrace our initiative to develop components of respect, recognition, responsibility and readiness to learn.

The Teachers' Memorial staff is committed to excellence in academic programs and services, which are offered to our students and their families.  We encourage each student to study, learn, participate, contribute, and make a difference in a positive manner.  The many enjoyable and worthwhile experiences enhance each student's educational background.

We hope you will enjoy visiting us at our web site!

Teachers' Memorial Middle School Compact
Our compact, “The Teachers’ Memorial Commitment”, is a short agreement that will help establish a bond of trust for working together.  This commitment sets expectations for both the home and the school and addresses communication between them.

The premise behind “The Teachers’ Memorial Commitment” is from the research on effective schools, which has a strong home/school connection.  In effective schools, families have an important role in the education of their children.  By working together on common goals, we can help each student be successful in school and at home.
