Music

The Music Program at Uncas School provides  the following opportunities to all students in grades K-5:


 Students will be able to celebrate cultural diversity as an importance American privilege.
Students will become acquaintanced with quality music of various genres, styles, cultures and historical periods.
 Students will acquire interpersonal skills, self-discipline, perseverance, the collaborative spirit, which enhanses  their ability to function as productive members of the community.
Music empowers students with musical knowledge and experiences toward developing a lifelong commitment to music as a creator, performer and/or consumer.
Music provides students with a vehicle for self-expression, communication, and creative thinking.

Music is a basic expression of humanity; therefore every student at Uncas School will have access to a balanced, comprehensive, and sequential music program.
