The first day of school is HERE! We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to Norwich Public Schools for the 2025–2026 school year! Our classrooms are ready, our hallways are buzzing with energy, and our amazing NPS staff is here to make today unforgettable.

This is the start of a brand-new year filled with learning, growth, and endless possibilities. Whether it’s your child’s very first day of kindergarten, a big transition into middle school, or another exciting year in their educational journey, we’re ready to support and celebrate every student.

We the People: Black History Celebration
We the People: Black History Celebration

Join Norwich Public Schools for an evening of celebration, reflection, and community at our Black History Month Event.

Thursday, February 19
6:00–8:00 PM

Free & open to the community

This event centers on the theme “Voices of the Past, Visions for the Future” and will feature art, food, music, and activities that honor Black history, culture, and contributions while uplifting voices shaping the future.

Families, students, staff, and community members are all welcome—bring your friends and family and celebrate with us!

The NPS Loft Has Moved!

We’re excited to share that the NPS Loft is now located in the Adult Education Building at 191 Hickory Street!

The NPS Loft is a free resource space available to all Norwich Public Schools students and families.

New Hours:
The NPS Loft is now open Wednesdays from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM and Thursdays from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM for accessing resources or dropping off donations.

Support for Families at the NPS Family Resource Center

The NPS Family Resource Center (FRC) provides a variety of services to support the healthy growth and development of families. This free program is open to mothers, fathers, grandparents, home daycare providers, and anyone caring for children. Participants have the opportunity to learn about child development, connect with other families, and grow together.
