Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program: Submit Your Application by 9/30

  • Habitat for Humanity’s vision is to make a difference in the lives of our local communities by fulfilling the dream of home ownership with an affordable mortgage, while helping to eliminate sub-standard housing in Eastern Connecticut. This application round is now open and accepting applications for homes located in Gales Ferry and Norwich until September 30th. This will be the last chance to apply this year – the next round opens March 2023.

This packet contains 27 pages of local resources for families- including food assistance programs, domestic violence, utility assistance, health care, mental health, counseling, transportation, employment services, parenting classes and many more. NPS updates this packet regularly as more resources become available.

This information highlights alternatives to the Emergency Department, how to locate counselors for your child, developing family plans, using school resources, etc.
