Write about reading (30 minutes). Respond to questions and thought prompts below:
- Identify a piece of descriptive language from your book. What words and phrases stand out to you, or help create a picture in your mind. How do the author’s words make you feel about what is happening at this point in the text?
- Think about the protagonist and another character and how they interact in this section of your book? Use specific evidence from the text to support your answer.
- Who is telling the story? Why do you think the author chose to tell the story from this character’s point of view?
- Based on this portion of your book, identify a paragraph that reveals important information about the character/s, or conflict occurring in the story. Explain why this information is important to know as a reader.
