Kelly STEAM Magnet Middle School

Kelly STEAM Magnet Middle School offers students an interdisciplinary, project-based education embedded within an exploratory, standards-based core curriculum. The educational experience will center on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) through its theme, Design & The Arts in the 21st Century. Our students explore real-world problems through practical application to build a greater understanding of how things are connected. Students learn in MakerSpace about innovation and invention by bringing their creative thinking to life. An educational model of exploration than specialization provides students the opportunity to develop skills and uncover their talents through a systematic process. Performances held for the local community throughout the school year teaches students how to be a well-rounded citizen by the value of giving back. The school features hands-on labs in media, coding and robotics, science, and music, as well as, a theater/auditorium and MakerSpace.

Teachers' Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School

Teachers’ Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School offers students an interdisciplinary, project-based education embedded within a rigorous, standards-based core curriculum. The educational experience centers on global competency in the 21st Century through our theme, Global Studies. Our students explore global issues through a local lens and develop Knowledge to Action Plan projects that focus on the personal impact of a problem in the local or larger global community. Students learn more about their heritage and reach a greater understanding one’s relationship to others. A service learning component built into the program teaches students about their connection and responsibility to the community, both local and global. World Language is offered in grades six, seven and eight. Our school features labs for distance learning and language, a video production studio, greenhouse, and planetarium, as well as, virtual-reality learning through Google.

Notifications of acceptance are sent to the applicant's preferred method of communication specified in SchoolMint i.e. text or email. 

Families who submit an application after the deadline are applying to the lottery pool list for that school. Once all of the students who applied within the application window are placed, the lottery pool list is worked until the end of October.
