Mission

The mission of the Norwich Public Schools Preschool Program is:

• To make each child’s school experience one that will foster positive self-esteem and a positive attitude toward learning.
• To provide each child with a developmentally appropriate environment that will meet the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
• To encourage each child to think, reason, question and experiment.
• To respect cultural, linguistic, and family diversity and individual differences of children and staff.
• To foster communication and cooperation between parents and teachers in order to provide a meaningful environment in which children learn best.

NORTH ON I-395 FROM SOUTH OF NORWICH
Take I-395N to Exit 14, towards Downtown Norwich.
Merge onto CT-82/Salem Turnpike, which becomes CT-82/West Main Street.
Stay straight to go onto Main St/CT-2.
Continue straight to the CT-165/Hamilton Avenue – East Main Street Intersection.
At the stoplight, turn left onto Hamilton Avenue/CT-165.
Take your first right onto Stanton Avenue.
Bishop School is on the right.

SOUTH ON I-395 FROM NORTH OF NORWICH
Take Route I-395S to CT-2E/CT-32S exit, number 13, towards Norwich.
Merge onto CT-2E.
Take the right hand exit onto Washington Street/Route 2.
Continue on Route 2 until you come to the CT-162/Hamilton Avenue – East Main Street intersection.
At the stoplight, turn left onto Hamilton Avenue/CT-165.
Take your first right onto Stanton Avenue.
Bishop School is on the right.

FROM HARTFORD
Take CT-2 to CT-2E.
Take the right hand exit onto Washington Street/Route 2.
3. Continue on Route 2 until you come to the CT-162/Hamilton Avenue – East Main Street intersection.
At the stoplight, turn left onto Hamilton Avenue/CT-165.
Take your first right onto Stanton Avenue. Bishop School is on the right.

FROM WILLIMANTIC
Take CT-32S to CT-2E.
Take the right hand exit onto Washington Street/Route 2.
Continue on Route 2 until you come to the CT-165/Hamilton Avenue – East Main Street intersection.
At the stoplight, turn left onto Hamilton Avenue/CT-165.
Take your first right onto Stanton Avenue.
Bishop School is on the right.
