Attendance at the middle schools are based on school's acceptance rather than location.

Regardless of your attendance zone, you are required to apply if you would like your child to attend one of the magnet schools. All middle school students are required to apply to their school of choice, Kelly or Teachers'. An application for each student must be submitted for the opportunity to go to their school of choice.

Any student in the Norwich Public Schools district can apply to attend an NPS magnet school. If a student is chosen to attend one of the schools, they will go to said school until they graduate or move out of district.

Note: All Sending Middle & Elementary Schools are without transportation.

In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Section 10-33, the Norwich Board of Education designates the as the designated high schools for Norwich residents. In accordance with the terms of this policy, the Board will pay the tuition (if applicable) and provide transportation for eligible Norwich students who attend any of the designated high schools. High school students, residing in Norwich, are expected to meet graduation requirements set forth by the high school in which they attend.
