Welcome to Norwich Public Schools Food Services!

 

For the entire 2022-2023 school year - Norwich Public School is providing free meal for all students who attend Norwich Public Schools.  

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Food Services Department sees to the nutritional needs of the school children of Norwich, Connecticut.  

Our mission is to provide "quality, nutritious food choices and nutrition education to all children in Connecticut." (As stated by the School Nutrition Association of Connecticut)
       

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

 

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

 

Norwich Public Schools Food Service is very excited to announce that for the 2022-2023 school year - ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING NORWICH PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL CONTINUE TO EAT FOR FREE for Breakfast and Lunch.  There is no longer a need for households to fill out Free/Reduced Forms.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a program that operates in all of our seven elementary schools (Huntington, Mahan, Moriarty, Stanton, Uncas, Veterans and Wequonnoc).  It allows us to provide every child in the enrolled school, a fresh fruit or vegetable snack daily.  The link below details the program.

We serve suppers in of our schools that have after school care.  These meals are provided at no cost.  The daily menu is listed under our menus.  Suppers are available to all students attending after school enrichment, tutoring and sports.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
