About Thomas W. Mahan Elementary School

At Mahan Elementary School we share a vested interest in our student achievement and successes. Our highly qualified and caring staff work cooperatively to create a safe, nurturing, and academically rewarding environment which provides for each child's uniqueness and special needs. At Mahan School, we utilize data diagnostically and provide focused, explicit instruction based on the Common Core State Standards. We take pride in every one of our students. Their successes are our successes. At Mahan Elementary School we strive to partner with families to build a strong community where school staff and families work together with the goal of student success.

NORTH ON I-395 FROM SOUTH OF NORWICH
Take I-395N to exit number 11, towards Downtown Norwich.
Turn right onto CT-82/Salem Turnpike.
At the third light, take a right, which is the entrance to Mahan School.

SOUTH ON I-395 FROM NORTH OF NORWICH
Take I-395S to CT-82, exit 11, towards Downtown Norwich/Salem.
Keep left at the fork in the ramp.
Turn left onto CT-82/Salem Turnpike.
At the third light, take a right, which is the entrance to Mahan School.

FROM HARTFORD
Take CT-2E to exit 28S, towards CT-2A/New Haven.
Merge onto I-395S.
Take the CT-32 exit, exit number 11, towards Downtown Norwich/Salem.
Keep left at the fork in the ramp.
Turn left onto CT-82/Salem Turnpike.
At the third light, take a right, which is the entrance to Mahan School.

FROM WILLIMANTIC
Take CT-32 to CT-2A/New Haven.
Merge onto I-395S.
Take the CT-32 exit, exit number 11, towards Downtown Norwich/Salem.
Keep left at the fork in the ramp.
Turn left onto CT-82/Salem Turnpike.
At the third light, take a right, which is the entrance to Mahan School.
