We plan to remain in a full in-person learning model for the remainder of the school year.
COVID vaccines are now available to students aged 12-15. There is a vaccination clinic being held at Kelly Middle School on Monday, May 17th and at Global Middle School on Tuesday, May 18th. In order for children to participate in this school-based clinic, a signed parental consent needs to be submitted to the school today.
At this time, the outdoor mask requirement has eased in that students and staff who remain 6 feet apart when outside can shed their mask. As of May 20, 2021, the outdoor mask requirement in CT is lifted.
Yesterday, the CDC lifted the requirement for indoor masks (except in certain specific circumstances such as doctors' offices and hospitals) for fully vaccinated persons. We are awaiting guidance from DPH and CSDE to see how this will be organized in our schools. In the meantime, we will adhere to the previous guidance.
