Moriarty Blog
Principal O'Donnell
Dear Moriarty Families,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful school year at Moriarty! Here are a few important ideas to think about as we work together to provide a great educational experience and promote the health and safety of students and staff.
Little Free Library
In our lobby, we have set up a section with shelves of books that we are calling our Little Free Library. Any child can take books home to read and enjoy. They do not have to return them. If you see books in your child’s backpack that you do not recognize (and have no barcode like library books), they are from the LFL (Little Free Library.) Enjoy!
Donations are accepted if you have books you no longer want for your children. They can be dropped off at school anytime!
PTO
Please join our PTO. The PTO provides many family events for our school. Check Dojo for announcements about our next meeting and fun family events!
Parent Volunteers
We are still looking for parent volunteers: If you are interested in volunteering at Moriarty, please contact Sarah Hill who will arrange for training, on-boarding and placement. Her email is shill@norwichpublicschools.org. We really need volunteers who are willing to help out in the library, even if it is only for a few hours a day.
School Hours, Arrival & Dismissal
Moriarty School is in session from 8:50 AM - 3:35 PM. Please make sure you display your pickup pass in your front window on the passenger side if you are picking up. If your child arrives after 8:50, they will be marked tardy.
Visitors
Visitors are allowed in the building for events and volunteering. You will be asked to provide identification for the Raptor system which will then print out a visitor's badge. Please make sure you bring identification when you visit.
Our main office is open 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Please do not hesitate to call 860-823-4206 to ask any questions. You can also reach me by email at: kodonnell@norwichpublicschools.org.
Sincerely,
Kate O’Donnell, Moriarty Principal
