Meals for Remote Students



Dear NPS Families,

We are happy to let you know that Norwich Public Schools will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students enrolled in Norwich Public Schools.

If your student is a remote learner (either remote five (5) days a week or remote three (3) days under the hybrid plan), we can still provide them with free breakfast and lunch. You will need to place your order in the morning and pick them up later that morning. The meals will be ordered from your enrolled school website. There is a form there that once submitted, will go to the appropriate kitchen. We will need some basic information so we can verify your student is enrolled such as full name and grade. You will need to answer a few questions about the meal and once submitted, it is ordered. Breakfast will be given with the ordered lunch. Meals will have refrigeration and heating instructions with them.

Unfortunately, if you have multiple children at a school, an order needs to be placed for each individual child. We also cannot combine orders where families have students in multiple schools.

Elementary and Preschools need to place orders by 9:00 am and the pick-up time at your enrolled school is 10:00 am – 10:30 am. This applies for:

  • Bishop Early Learning Center
  • Case St. Early Learning Center
  • Huntington Elementary
  • Mahan Elementary
  • Moriarty Magnet Elementary
  • Stanton Elementary
  • Uncas Elementary
  • Veterans Elementary
  • Wequonnoc Magnet Elementary

Middle Schools need to place orders by 8:30 am and the pick-up time at your enrolled school is 9:30 am - 10:00 am. This applies for:

  • Kelly Steam Magnet Middle School
  • Teacher’s Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School

Meal pick-ups will be at the main entrance of your enrolled school at the times stated above. We will come out to you, verify the student order, and place the meal in the trunk of your vehicle. To find your enrolled school’s website, go to Go to “Schools” on the left side and select your school.

If you cannot order from your enrolled school website, you can call your school and you can be transferred to the kitchen to place your order. With this being said, the preferred method of ordering is through your enrolled school website and all orders need to be placed by the times noted above so we have time to make them.
