Dear Stanton Families,

On behalf of the entire Stanton Staff, we extend a sincere and heartfelt welcome to you as we begin the 2019-2020 school year. It is a time to reconnect with our past families and welcome new families. It is another exciting beginning to your child’s academic journey as they begin a new grade level. To those who are new to Stanton, we extend an especially warm welcome along with our best wishes for an exciting and growth filled year as you begin your journey at Stanton. It is our sincere hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the many educational opportunities and activities offered here at Stanton.

I am privileged and honored to work alongside highly qualified and dedicated staff, curious students and supportive families. I will continue to work diligently with parents and staff to foster a safe and positive learning community focused on child-centered instruction and decisions, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communications and recognition of both student and staff achievement. All of us at Stanton invite you to contribute your time and ideas as we continue to work together in the best interest of all of our children. If you would like to learn more about how you can become involved, please contact our PTO, family resource director, Cindy Beauregard or our site coordinator, Meghan Bussey. They would love to have you in for a coffee and discuss ideas about how you may become involved. Also, please get to know my assistant, Mrs. VeraCruz as she will be available to you for any questions that you may have throughout the year.

Just a reminder that it is district policy that food can no longer be brought into the school to be distributed to other children. This is due to the many different allergies that affect our students. Your child will receive recognition on our morning news program for their birthday, instead of celebrating in class with cupcakes or other food items.

I’d like to invite you to visit the Stanton Elementary School website as well as our Facebook page. Facebook will serve as a device to share pictures of all the exciting work and school events that your children contribute in our school. Our doors are always open, and I welcome you to drop by often to share ideas, questions and provide feedback. Please be sure to join us for Open House on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 5:30-6:30. You will have the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and tour their classroom. Please take the opportunity to do so during Open House, as the first day of school you will need to drop your child off at the front door. School staff will escort them to get breakfast and help them find their classroom. I look forward to building relationships with all of you this year and beyond.

Please have your child bring the color coded card with them on the first day of school. This car, which was mailed to all families, shows their classroom teacher. There will be plenty of staff avaiblle to assist getting your student to Geri classrooms during the first week of school.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 29, 2019!

All Good Things,
