The Norwich Public Schools lottery is open to the public and will be held at 11 am on April 26, 2019 in the Community Room at Kelly. Student-specific information will not be provided the day of the lottery.

Notifications will be sent on May 3, 2019. You will be sent a notification based on your SchoolMint contact preferences - Email or Text. You have until May 24th to accept or decline the offer. After May 24th all offers will be rescinded.

Any student who applied after the March 31st is automatically placed on the lottery pool list (aka waitlist). When a seat becomes available you will be notified through SchoolMint. A deadline date of when you need to accept or decline an offer will be provided. Offers automatically get rescinded the day after the due date specified.

Students with rescinded offers will be placed in an open seat based on availability on or after August 1. Notification of the placement is sent through SchoolMint.

Note: All incoming middle school students must apply to their school of choice. If you have not applied and received notification of acceptance, then you are not enrolled in a middle school.

When will I get in? When will I get an offer?
Students who submitted an application before the April 1st will receive a magnet school offer on May 3rd.

How fast does the waitlist move?
The waitlist movement is affected by multiple factors. In short, as soon as an open spot becomes available and it is your turn you will be notified via text or email based on your contact preferences in SchoolMint.

Is there a chance we'll get an offer before the school year starts?
Yes, Norwich Public Schools works the waitlist from the time it is created through the end of the first quarter, October 31st.

If I get in, will I have to buy uniforms?
All Norwich Public Schools students are required to wear uniforms to school. If your child attends a NPS school, parents will need to supply each child who attends with a uniform.

If I accept an offer, will the other applications be "Withdrawn"?
Elementary Students Only - Students who apply to more than one magnet elementary school will have the other NPS school application withdrawn once the student has accepted an offer to their NPS school of choice.

Norwich Public Schools allows middle school students to apply to one school of choice.
