Veterans

On January 8, 2020, meteorologist Josh Cingranelli and his team visited Veterans Memorial with the Snow Monster vehicle NBCCT uses for weather-related reporting. He presented the basics of what his job is like as a weather person. Students were surprised to learn Cingranelli had to get up every morning at 1:15 a.m. to be in for work for 3 a.m. when he worked the morning shift. Another little known fact is that tornadoes occur in Connecticut three to four times every year. After the presentation, students got to view the Snow Monster vehicle. Inside the back of the Jeep is lined with blue fur.

Cingranelli grew up in the area and went to Norwich Free Academy. He currently resides in Norwich.
